About Jerome Dempsey (Mr. Blood)
When Jerome Dempsey came to New York, he joined the Actor’s Studio and won roles in "The Deputy," "Spofford’" and
"The Love-Suicide at Schofield Barracks."
As a member of the Lincoln Center theater company under Jules Irving he acted in "A Cry of Players," "King Lear," and "The Crucible." He also worked under Robert
Brustein at the Yale Reperatory Theater. He appeared as Dr. Van Helsing in "Dracula" opposite Frank Langella in the title role. He won a Drama Desk award for this performance.
He was also in "Trelaway of the Wells," with Meryl Streep, Mandy Patinkin and John Lithgow and "The Threepenny Opera" with Raul Julia and acted in "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" with
Betty Buckley, Cleo Laine and George Rose. His film credits include "Network," "Brewster’s Millions," "Tune in Tomorrow," and "Malatesta’s Carnival of Blood." TV viewers know Mr.
Dempsey’s work in "Gore Vidal’s Lincoln" and "The Kennedys of Massachusetts."
